
ABBREVIATIONS
The Abbreviations Completion menu allows you to type
a abbreviation and have it changed to the full text completion with
color.
To access the Abbreviations Completion menu open the Control panel and
double click the Abbreviations Icon.
>>>WARNING<<<: Do not click on the X to close the dialog this can cause mIRC to Crash and close. Use the Cancel or Ok button to close the dialog.


1. Click on the Add Button in the Manage Abbreviations Dialog.
2. Fill in
the Abbreviation in the Acronym Text Box.
3. Fill in the Complete
Abbreviation Text in the Complete Box.
4. Place a : before the First Letter
of second word the Abbreviation and a ^ before the second Letter
Example: Acronym - LOL
Completion - L^augh: O^ut:
L^oud
5. Click the Ok Button to accept the abbreviation with default
style.
6. If you wish to change the default style select the First letter and
completion attributes from the attributes manager.
1. Select the Abbreviation from the List
2. Click on Edit
3. Make your
changes
4. Click Ok to accept Changes or Cancel to Cancel changes
1. Select the Abbreviation from the list
2. Click Remove

1. Select the Abbreviation from the list
2. Click Disable
>>>Note<<< a - sign before an abbreviation indicates a disabled abbreviation
1. Select the Abbreviation from the list
2. Click Enable
>>>Note<<< a + sign before an abbreviation indicates an enabled abbreviation
Use the Settings Button to open and change the Default Settings for abbreviations.
To change your colors Open the Abbreviations Manager and right click on the First abbreviation in the Right hand column. With the left mouse button drag down to select all the abbreviations at one time as shown below.

Next Click on the Use Color Look up Boxes and select the colors you wish.

After you have the colors you like Click the Ok button and you are done. You should now have the colors you wish.
